GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, UTHANGARAI (GPTU) started in the year 2013 by Government of Tamilnadu situated in an expansive campus area adorned with beautiful hilly surroundings. It is located on the Salem to Tirupathur main road reachable within 2 km from Uthangarai city center. It aims to offer good education to the nearby village students to develop their technical knowledge and skills. It is a co-educational institution with around 1000 students studying in the campus that offers a holistic learning environment with disciplinary values.
