HOSTEL

The Hostel facility provided within the campus of Government Polytechnic College, Uthangarai is run with the intention of giving a feel of “Staying at home” apart from good boarding to the students. There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls attached with mess facilities on a payment basis.

Both the Hostels are provided with furnished 25 rooms individually with essential electrical fittings and each room can accommodate 3 students. In total 75 Boys in the Boys Hostel and 75 Girls in the Girls Hostel shall be accommodated. In addition to that, both the hostels are provided with Kitchen and Dining Halls, sickroom, sufficient restrooms, uninterrupted power supply, Generator facility, Street Lights in the pathways, CCTV surveillance, RO purified drinking water throughout their stay.

Admission:

A student admitted to the institution can be admitted to the hostel only after completing the following process.

A separate application form has to be submitted for admission to the hostel.

Admissions are made subject to the approval of the warden.

On getting the approval, the student has to pay the fees admissible as follows

Refundable One-Time Caution Deposit : Rs. 2000/-

Electricity Charges per year :Rs. 250/-

Room Rent per Year : Rs. 150/-

Administration:

The hostel is run by the Student Representatives, Residential Tutor, Deputy Warden and Warden. Very strict rules and regulations are framed and followed to maintain the discipline and also to avoid ragging among the hostel mates. If the students need to go out of the campus, they must get the prior approval from the residential tutor.

MESS:

Mess Charges are based on dividing system. In addition a resident has to share the salary paid to the hostel staffs viz cook, scavengers.
